Text Box: The youth meet every other Sunday at Hoyes Chapel from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The May meetings will be on May 3rd, May 17th, and May 31st . The June meeting dates will be set at the May meetings. All youth should bring their calendars. The youth group have committed themselves to making sure that the Hoyes Chapel is clean prior to the worship service held on the second Sunday of each month. The youth service project of cutting the grass at Hoyes and Paradise Chapels will begin on Saturday May 2nd, and continue for every other week through September. The summer schedule will be set at the May 3rd meeting. However, be assured that there will be changes due to weather. We are searching for a mission project for the youth to take part in this summer. Any suggestions of possible projects would be greatly appreciated. We invite all youth of the church to bring their friends and join us. Come and enjoy this time of faith exploration and fellowship.

Text Box: A Confirmation Class meets each Monday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.. at the Home of Rev. Wachter. We are in the planning stages of an upcoming baptism service. Whether permitting, on Sunday, May 17th we will retire to the lake at 12:00 noon to Baptize our three confirmation youth All three of the youth in the class want to be immersed when they are baptized. Watch your bulletin for further details of this important event in the lives of these youth. We are hopeful that the Confirmation Class will be joining the church on Pentecost Sunday, May 31st .

Our Children’s Christian Adventure continues to meet every other Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Paradise Chapel. We are using the Veggie Tale Connections for our resources each week. We are currently in the Chocolate Factory where we are studying the Time Connection. Our connection words for the next few weeks include priority, patience, effort, living water, and serve. The scriptures for this unit come from the book of John.

Each week the children have a Bible story that teaches about their connection word for that day. They view a Veggie Tale video that teaches about the connection word, and they have a puppet show with Bob and Larry that also teaches about the

connection word. Through games, crafts and recreation, they also define the connection word. Each session also includes a snack and dinner. All boys and girls in elementary school are invited to join in this time of fun and learning. Pastor Sam and Pastor Amy, along with Sue, lead these adventures. Meeting dates are May 1^st , May 15^th , and June 5^th . Kids, Keep inviting your friends!!

A Confirmation Rally for all youth in the West Virginia Annual Conference was held March 27^th and 28^that West Virginia Wesleyan College. Bishop Ernest Lyght was the sponsor for this rally. Rev. Sam took the three girls, Ashley Hugel, Kaneena Felicia, and Angel Hardesty to this event. The rally featured several youth oriented workshops, musical concert, recreation, worship and a sleep over. They all had a great time.
