Text Box: Hazel Wright, Sunday School Superintendent, announces that she will continue to offer Sunday School classes for the youth at Hoyes Chapel following the Sunday morning worship services at 10:15 a.m.. They continue the study of the book of Proverbs. The Children’s Sunday School meets with Janet Paugh each Sunday morning. . If any adults would like to attend Sunday School at Hoyes Chapel, please speak to Hazel Wright and she will work on organizing a class for adults.

Text Box: Sue Wachter teaches the children at Paradise Chapel, The children attend worship service and following the children’s message they go to the Sunday School room for a Bible lesson. The children hear a “Bible Adventure” and then spend time singing, doing a puzzle, coloring and sharing in other activities. Children are encouraged to invite their friends to join us.

Text Box: The United Methodist Women meet the first Thursday of each month at Hoyes Chapel at 7:00 p.m. The May meeting will be held on May 7th and the June meeting will be Thursday, June 4th. All women are invited to join in this time of Bible study, prayer, business, and refreshments. A quilt has been set up in the back Sunday school room at Hoyes Chapel. Any one who enjoys quilting is invited to stop in and add some stitches to the quilt. This quilt will be given to Burlington Family Services for their auction during the Apple Butter Festival in September. Recipes are still being accepted for the UMW Cookbook. Cheryl Rexrode is collecting them.

Text Box: Thursday, April 16th. a bus loaded with 46 people left the Hoyes parking lot, bound for the Sight and Sound Theatre in Strasburg, PA. We had a breakfast stop on Interstate 81 and then we got down to the serious business of playing games and singing the rest of the trip. The weather was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time. We plan to go the see the new show “Joseph” next year after it opens. Let Sue Wachter or Mary Frazee know if you would like to participate. Since this is a new show, I am sure tickets will sell out fast. Get your name on the waiting list now!
