We would like to welcome Dana Richard into the fellowship of our church. On Easter Sunday Dana was received into the membership of our church at the Paradise worship service.

Dana, her husband, James, and three daughters, Jordan, Madison, and Koley all attend Paradise Chapel. They own and operate the Circle R Ranch which offers recreational horseback riding. See web page http://www.deepcreeklakestable.com/

The Richard family members are third generation farmers bringing up the fourth generation Dana attended Paradise church as a child and we joyfully welcome her back to the church.

We continue to sing each month at two of the Garrett County Nursing homes. We sing the first Wednesday of each month at Cherry Hill Assisted Living Center and at Dennett Road Manor on the third Wednesday. We will be singing at Cherry Hill on May 6^th and June 3^rd and at Dennett Road on May 20^th and June 17^th. We begin singing at 7:00 p.m. each evening and invite anyone who enjoys singing the old hymns of the church to join in this time of praise and fellowship with the residents of the nursing homes.

Text Box: Our Food Pantry has been busy during the months of March and April. We served 20 adults and 7 children. We were well stocked but now we are getting low on a few items again. If you would like to donate to the food pantry, please leave your donations at Hoyes Chapel. At the present time we need jello, pudding, apple sauce, pizza mixes, fruit juices, beef stew, hamburger and tuna helper. With the falling economy, we are called upon more often to help families in distress. Cleaning items and paper products are some of the other items we like to give to the families in need. All donations are greatly appreciated.

An orientation meeting will be held to answer questions concerning the United Methodist Church and Deep Creek Ministries in particular. We look forward to having new members join with our fellowship. As the Deep Creek United Methodist Ministries of Hoyes and Paradise Church, we strive to be open to the Holy Spirit through life-long Spiritual growth and human development. We strive to live out this commitment by supporting one another in family, in church life and in community. Together we endeavor to build up the Body of Christ in love. We are invited by Jesus Christ to be His disciples and to follow Him. May the Lord Jesus who calls us together sustain us with His grace. If you or someone you know would like to be a part of the community and join in the adventure, please have them speak to one of the pastors. Classes will be arranged according to need and desire.
