Text Box: Outreach Spaghetti Dinner
Text Box: Our Free Community Spaghetti Dinners continue to be a favorite for many of the local people. We will be serving dinners on May 29th and June 26th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Notice the change in date for the May dinner due to Memorial Day Weekend.
We always need workers and donations of desserts.  If you can help in any way, please sign up the Sunday before the Dinner.

Text Box: The Point Betsie Lighthouse
Text Box: The lighthouse on the front of “Lighthouse Letters” is the Point Betsie Lighthouse, Benzie County's most famous landmark, is located on the Lake Michigan shore of the county just south of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and just north of Frankfort, Michigan. Point Betsie is the second most photographed lighthouse in the USA, and likely the most visited attraction in Benzie County. Watching the sunsets from Point Betsie is a long-standing tradition. Text Box: The Summer Breeze  Group Work Camp will be doing work at Paradise Chapel the week of June 29th.  Brenda Roszell has made arrangements for this group of youth to come and paint the outside and inside of the church.  We appreciate the willingness of this group to do voluntary work for our church.  We will be calling upon members of our church to help provide meals and to be present while the work is being done.  Speak to Pastor Sam or Pastor Amy if you are willing to help in any way.

Emily Grace Wachter was born on March 9, 2009 in Coatesville, PA. She weighed 8 lbs. 14 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.  She is the daughter of Scott and Heather Wachter and little sister of Matthew and Madison. Emily is the fourth granddaughter for Rev. Sam and Sue Wachter and the eighth grandchild. Our prayers and congratulations are with this family on this joyous occasion, and with Pap Pap Sam and Grandma Sue.

Following the celebration of baptism of our Confirmation Class on Sunday, May 17th, at the Blakeslee swimming pool located in the Blakeslee development off Boy Scout Road, everyone is invited to the Wachter’s house for a time of fellowship and lunch.  Hot dogs and beverages will be provided and everyone is asked to bring a covered dish to share.

We are proud to announce that on May 16th, Pastor Amy Chesla will be graduating from Garrett College with Honors receiving her Associates Degree in General Studies.  She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society as well as the Sigma Alpha Phi National Society of Leadership.  She is planning on continuing her education with the ultimate goal of graduating from United Seminary.
