Through Sunday, October 4th, we are selling Yankee candles as a
means of raising funds to continue to renovate the parsonage. Also,
October 4th will be Bow Sunday. There will be beautiful bows made by
Janet Jeitner, the sales of which will also help fund the parsonage
renovations.
On Saturday, October 17th the Annual Meeting and Banquet will be
held at Cannstatter V.V. at 9130 Academy Road, starting at 11:30
a.m. The mission focus is Supplies for a Russian orphanage, boys and
girls age 15-17. We're looking for hats, gloves, scarves, underwear,
socks, 30yard or bigger pieces of fabric for sewing projects, and
funds to cover shipping costs.
Our first Priscilla Circle meeting of this season will be held on
Monday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m., after the UMW Executive meeting
at noon. Please note the change in times.
On Saturday, October 24th, the Eastern Pennsylvania conference of
United Methodist Women will have it's 36th annual meeting from 9:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hope United Methodist Church, located at 3474
Rothsville Road in Ephrata, PA. The guest speaker will be
Harriett Jane Olson.
I made a box for donations to the parsonage renovations. It will
be at the back of the church each Sunday, including Sunday, October
4th. On Sunday, September 13th, we collected $104.50. Thank you all
so much - I never expected that much.
