• That United Methodists will be unified in Jesus Christ as we gather around an Open Table, which fully celebrates the diversity among us and energizes us to share Christ's loving ministry in the world

• We profess with our United Methodist Sisters and Brothers:


• Our reliance on the Grace of God, who is our only Hope;


• The Centrality ofJesus Christ, who gives us faith to trust without reservation;


• And the communion of the Holy Spirit, embodying the love by which we seek to live.


• We also believe this profesion of faith is faithfully interpreted and lived out in a variety of ways.

1. Affirm both the Spirit filled life, and the quest for justice in our world.


2. Seek both theological clarity and pastoral relevance.


3. Rely upon all four Wesleyan sources of authority: Scripture, tradition, reason and experience, believing that each informs and helps us interpret the others.


4. Promote engagement with those who speak from different perspectives as we struggle together to be faithful to the Gospel


5. Seek to discover others  whom God has included in that circle of love we dare to call church. We further commit ourselves to maintain a space where each one may stand, be    valued and free to live.
