Internet e-mail communications will be key in coordinating and communicating the relief effort throughout the Annual Conference and the denomination, and will contribute to receiving the greatest amount of support. An important part of Internet communications is the e-mail list, sometimes called an egroup. E-mail information sent to a single e-mail address is immediately forwarded to the members (subscribers) of the egroup. List of needs, disaster information and updates, and coordination of relief teams are enhanced by the use of egroups.
Steps to set up communications:
Establish an e-mail account, if you do not have one. Many e-mail services are now free. If you need help please contact John Warrener at 229-432-5418
UMCOR umcor@gbgm-umc.org
Update and communicate by sending timely information out to the egroup members.
