Welcome to Emergency Services Resources. This website will be your vital connection to UMCOR. By following the checklist, including printing, and downloading the various resources on this site, your Conference can respond quickly and efficiently to the call for help in times of disaster in the name of Jesus Christ.
Disaster Coordinator Protocol Lists all steps and actions that should be taken to meet the necessities of disaster relief.
Local Church Manual A handbook to enable churches to construct a viable disaster- response program to assist in local and nonlocal disasters.
Long Term Recovery Manual A compilation of materials from many sources, including Voluntary Agencies (VOLAGs), Interfaith Groups, and individuals with years of experience in forming Long-Term Recovery Committees (LTRC).
Unmet Needs Committee Manual An Unmet Needs Committee (sometimes called a Disaster Resource and Recovery Committee) is composed of representatives from agencies that serve disaster survivors. Its mission is to strengthen area-wide disaster coordination by sharing information, simplifying client access to assistance agencies by avoiding duplication, and jointly resolving cases with unmet disaster-related needs. The Committee is often the "place of last resort" for Case Managers.
Coordinator's Report Form Communicates vital information to UMCOR offices to expedite communication and assure swift response on the denominational level to disaster-relief efforts.
E-mail Communications System Links via e-mail all parties important to the recovery operation, and allows UMCOR to be in direct communication and support of the disaster team.
