The purpose of the United Methodist Women has always been missions around the world and at home.

Each year we, at VUMC have a study book used at each meeting.  We keep in touch with the church family members who are sick, hospitalized or unable to attend worship for other reasons.  We invite other women into our fellowship. We share our belief in Jesus Christ and what he would want each of us to be as one of his followers.

In November we hold our annual bake sale and mini-bazaar here at the church.  This year it will be November 18 and 19.  We set up our wares and display the quilt that has been made that year for the "drawing".  Hours of fellowship and fun have been put into the quilts and are the highlight of the event.

You can see for yourself why this event may draw a crowd. (each year the quilt will be different)  This is the only fund raising event that is held by the UMW at Vermontville.   Additional activities that we are involved with include;

• Collecting canceled stamps.
• Campbell Soup Labels
• Pop Tabs from cans.

Each of these collections are then forwarded to projects sponsored by the Methodist Church.
