about_us
WRUMC is a church "to come home to".
Our Purpose:
We believe that the Church exists to share the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. We seek to be a family church, serving our community and providing mission to the world.
--------------
Worship
Sunday morning worship and special services provide an opportunity for growth, celebration and community building within the church family. Through the reading, preaching and singing of God's word and through prayers and litanies, we encounter the Spirit anew each week. Special ministries are provided for our children and nursery staff cares for infants and toddlers.
Sunday worship is at 10:30 am followed each week by refreshments and fellowship in Watters Hall.
Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month and at special seasonal services. It is also made available to homebound or hospitalized members.
Every month there is a Family Worship Service (generally the last Sunday of each month.) Family Worship Services are less formal than the other Sundays, and the service is led by our Sunday School children.
Special services through the year include Ash Wednesday, Holy Week and Christmas Eve.
Hearing assistance devices are available for hearing-impaired worshipers.
